Open-source · MIT · 7 tools

Tools that let an AI agent publish your code and use your desktop, safely.

Plus four small desktop apps. All free and open source. Nothing public happens until you confirm it.

What do you want to do?

2 tools

Publish

Turn a folder on your computer into a GitHub repo and a package on npm, PyPI or crates.io. Both tools do the same job; pick the one that fits how you work.

  1. Local folder
  2. GitHub
  3. npm · PyPI · crates.io
MCP server

publish-pilot-mcp

WindowsmacOSLinux

For Claude Desktop or any other MCP app. Ask it to publish a folder and it sets up the GitHub repo and the package. Needs Node.js 22 or newer. It never types your passwords or 2FA codes.

claude mcp add publish-pilot -- npx -y publish-pilot-mcp
Rust CLI + plugin

shipkit

WindowsmacOSLinux

The same job as one command-line program, ship, plus a Claude Code plugin. Use it from Claude Code, a script or your own terminal. Risky steps only run with --confirm.

Install
cargo install shipkit
Claude Code plugin
/plugin marketplace add acus9345/shipkit
/plugin install shipkit@shipkit

Or download the ship binary (ship.exe on Windows) from releases (Windows x64, Linux x64). Then ship --version and ship preflight.

Which one should I use?

publish-pilot and ship compared on registries, where they run, and guardrails
publish-pilot ship
Registries npm, PyPI, crates.io npm, PyPI, crates.io
Works in Any MCP client, including Claude Desktop Claude Code, or any agent or script that can run shell commands
Guardrails The client’s per-tool approval. Publish is dry-run first. --confirm on public steps, --dry-run on every step, plus the plugin hook, skill, and permission rules

The longer comparison is in the shipkit README.

Safety

  1. Dry-run, then an explicit yes. ship refuses create-repo, release, and publish without --confirm, and every step has --dry-run. publish-pilot dry-runs the publish and leaves approval to you and your MCP client.
  2. No registry tokens stored in the repo. publish-pilot uses your gh and registry CLI logins. ship uses your existing gh, cargo, npm, or uv login. Generated release workflows publish with trusted publishing (OIDC).
  3. Nothing is overwritten, force-pushed, or unpublished. Scaffolding only creates missing files. A secret scan runs before a commit, repo, release, or publish.

1 tool

Desktop control

Let Claude Code see your Windows screen and use apps for you: it reads what’s on screen, then clicks and types.

Claude Code plugin

desk-pilot

Windows

Three tools for Claude Code: see the screen, read the buttons and fields in each window, and click and type. Made for working in Windows apps, not as an all-purpose PC agent.

Install
claude plugin marketplace add acus9345/desk-pilot
claude plugin install desk-pilot@desk-pilot
  • screen_view Sees the real screen
  • desktop_control Reads windows and controls, then clicks, types, focuses
  • desktop_sequence Batches checked steps into one call

4 apps

Apps

Small apps you download and run. Each card shows which systems it works on.

Clawd

Windows

A pixel-art pet that lives on your taskbar and plays ping pong, badminton and chess with you. Fan-made, not affiliated with Anthropic.

Project Color Picker

WindowsmacOS

Pick any color on your screen and read it in 14 formats, including HEX, RGBA, HSL and OKLCH.

singbox-watch

WindowsmacOS beta

A tray switch for a sing-box tunnel with a fixed exit IP. If the tunnel drops or the IP changes, it closes Claude so your real IP isn’t exposed.

PkgStats

WindowsmacOS beta

Download counts and stats for packages and developers on GitHub, npm, PyPI and crates.io, with charts.

Install
cargo install pkgstats

And 37 more small tools

LLM libraries, env checks, lint rules, GitHub Actions and agent plugins, each with a one-line install.
